Strengthening Scientific Writing Skills, Undergraduate Food Technology Program Holds Scientific Writing Workshop

Badung, Universitas Udayana — The Undergraduate Food Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Udayana, organized a Scientific Writing Workshop as part of its efforts to enhance students’ scientific writing skills. The activity was held at the Theater Room, 3rd Floor, Lecture Building, Universitas Udayana, and was attended by students from the Food Technology Study Program as well as students from other study programs.

The workshop featured Ir. Putu Cinthya Pratiwi Kardita, S.T., M.T., a lecturer from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Udayana, as the speaker. The session provided participants with an opportunity to gain insights into scientific writing from an academic perspective and to understand key aspects that should be considered when producing high-quality scientific works.

Scientific writing is an essential skill for university students in supporting their academic activities. The ability to organize ideas systematically, present arguments based on relevant data and sources, and communicate information using appropriate academic language plays an important role in developing students’ critical and analytical thinking skills.

Through the workshop, participants received guidance on various aspects of scientific writing. The activity also provided a platform for students to broaden their understanding of how ideas can be developed into structured scientific works that are academically sound and well supported.

The Scientific Writing Workshop is expected to encourage students to become more confident in expressing their ideas, perspectives, and findings through scientific writing. These skills are not only valuable for completing academic assignments but also provide an important foundation for participating in research activities, scientific seminars, publications, and other academic programs.
